Mindfulness Meditation with Susan Madden

Join us for our group meditation sessions where you can unwind, unplug and center yourself. Mindfulness means maintaining a present-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens – without judgement.

Regular meditation practice is good for your soul, brain, and bodily health. It literally transforms your brain, and most importantly it allows you to experience life more positively. From improved sleep to less stress, the benefits are well documented by the scientific community. Susan brings together her passions as a Meditation Teacher, Retreat Leader, Labyrinth Facilitator, Forest Bathing Guide and Community Builder to fulfill her purpose of helping people create a more peaceful life.

Sound Bowls Meditation with Dr. Brenda Negley

Dr. Brenda Negley sitting with a sound bowl and a set of sound bowls behind her.Dr. Brenda Negley is a Certified Practitioner of Vibrational Sound Therapy by the Vibrational Sound Association (VSA). Brenda’s family has been in the Yosemite area for 6 generations. Dr. Negley has a Masters and Doctorate from Emerson Theological Institute in Metaphysical Studies, specializing in Holistic Health. She is also a local historian and author of Nelder Grove of Giant Sequoias, a Granddaughter’s Stories (available in the Metta Boutique).

Dr. Negley’s Sound Bowls Meditation is a positive meditative experience that helps to keep you focused – even if you haven’t tried traditional forms of meditation. You will be meditating with the sounds of Crystal Quartz Singing bowls that coordinate with the vibrations of your body, creating a sense of calm. This type of Sound Meditation has been known to help alleviate anxiety, stress, and some forms of PTSD.

The full body bowl is available to all after class to “cleanse” your vibes before your day.

Music Meditation with Jennifer Moss

Jennifer Moss HeadshotJennifer Moss, founder of Metta, leads this meditative experience that includes crystal sound bowls and various genres of music to calm your spirit and enable peace and joy. You don’t have to be a musician to enjoy this meditative series – you just have to love music.

Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in Music Theory/Composition from Northwestern University and is currently getting certified in Music for Wellness by Berklee College of Music.
